Max Lown (b.1999) is a photographer and creative from Portsmouth, UK.

During my time at university, I developed a strong passion for analog photography and the unique process of shooting with film. It started with experimenting with Polaroid and disposable cameras, but over time, I transitioned to working with 35mm and medium-format film. This progression allowed me to refine my skills and deepen my understanding of traditional photography techniques.

Since graduating, much of my my work has focused on documenting skateboard culture and the local skate scene in my hometown of Portsmouth. Through my photography, I aim to capture the energy, creativity, and individuality of those around me.

Outside of this, I have a deep appreciation for landscape photography and enjoy capturing natural scenes. Whether it’s wide-open mountain spaces, serene forests, or rugged coastlines, being outdoors inspires me to explore new perspectives.
